How many times have you felt like you were doing great work, but no one noticed?

I’ve been there. And that’s when I realized: visibility isn’t about vanity – It’s part of the job. Especially as a woman in tech, I learned that visibility is not a reward – It’s a conscious construction.

Throughout my journey, I understood that it’s not enough to do great work – you need to show it. And more than that, we need to create spaces where other women can see themselves, feel recognized, and grow.

At Reprograma, I had the privilege of teaching four cohorts, in addition to volunteering as a class assistant and participating in hackathons. Our collective efforts were recognized with the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education. There, I saw firsthand the power of representation: when a woman shares her journey, she lights the way for others.

At Dasa, I worked on one of the company’s biggest projects – NAV – which brought innovation to millions of users in healthcare. At the same time, I took part in internal initiatives to include more women in tech. We launched a project in partnership with the Women Can Code community to train and bring more women into our tech squads. It wasn’t just about diversity – it was about building an environment where everyone feels they belong.

Now, at Women Go Tech, I continue to build and expand this support network. Whether offering mentorship or learning from incredible women, I still believe that visibility is a collective and transformative act.

So how can you start building your own visibility?

Share what you’re learning
You don’t need to know everything to have something valuable to say. Share how you solved a problem, overcame a technical challenge, or what you learned from a project. That’s how you build authentic authority.

Use your channels with intention
LinkedIn, GitHub, Medium… choose the ones that make sense for you and start small: a project update, a monthly goal, a career insight.

Recognize your progress
Impostor syndrome can make us forget how far we’ve come. So document your wins, ask for feedback, celebrate each step – and give yourself credit.

Connect with other women
Mentorships, events, communities… you’re not alone. I wouldn’t be where I am without the strength of the women around me – and maybe you are that source of strength for someone right now.

Visibility isn’t about ego. It’s about building pathways – for yourself and those who come after.

This week’s challenge: what about posting something on LinkedIn? It could be a project, a question, a lesson learned – just don’t let your journey go unnoticed.

We’re here to cheer you on!
