Women Go Tech and Junior Achievement Lithuania, together with the support from The Coca-Cola Foundation, have joined forces on a mission to empower girls to choose the tech industry as a potential future career path.

The #EmpoweringGirls project aims to connect Women Go Tech alumnae – the role models who have successfully entered the tech sector – with a target group of students who, as teenagers, face important decisions about their education and future career choices. At its core, the project tackles the ongoing issue of unconscious bias regarding the appropriate career paths for different genders.

During the project’s second season (2021-2022), more than 80 Women Go Tech alumnae and other socially active female professionals visited more than 130 schools, reaching over 6000 students. The speakers shared their career stories, engaged students in interactive workshops, and encouraged them to cultivate a curious mindset and explore opportunities in the tech sector.
