My initial interest in IT began by learning to break things; entering the unexpected value in a web form and maybe seeing what I was not supposed to. Not long after I learned that building is actually more valuable and also more engaging. To build a quality and complex software system contributions must come from so many different people, not one of them being able to see the full picture; much like seeing a skyscraper – you see a shiny glass facade but you rarely have to think that each bolt had to be put in there by a person. I have been working professionally as a developer and lead for over 10 years in engineering, ad tech and fintech and feel happy every day I have discovered the fascinating field of information technology.
